Protein Production and Analysis (PPA) Facility Manager
Dr Anastasia Mylona has been appointed as the new PPA Facility Manager in the MRC Centre for Molecular Bacteriology and Infection.
Dr. Mylona was appointed in March 2015 and is responsible for the day-to-day research activities of the PPA Facility.
She studied Biology in the University of Athens (Greece) and completed her PhD in Structural Biology at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) / Grenoble Outstation (France). Anastasia then held EMBO and CRUK postdoctoral fellowships to work at Cancer Research UK / London Research Institute where she studied structural and functional aspects of protein-protein and protein-DNA complexes involved in transcriptional regulation.
Initially, she will proactively engage with CMBI groups to identify their needs and try to help their specific requirements in the field of Structural Biology.
