Imperial Researchers at IPS

Imperial College researchers will be presenting their work at the Infection Prevention Society annual conference in Liverpool.

The conference attracts over 800 professionals each year, including DIPCs, Microbiologists, Antibiotic Pharmacists, Managers as well as nursing leaders in Infection Prevention and Control.

Researchers from the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Unit in Healthcare Acquired Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance at Imperial College London will be attending the conference again this year.

Public health expert Raheelah Ahmad will be presenting her poster "Knowledge, perceptions and decision making – what matters to patients?" 

Epidemiologists Dr Jon Otter and Elie Dyakova will be giving a presentation entitled "“Can I swab your rectum please?”; Improving compliance with rectal screening for CRE."

Professor Alison Holmes, Dr Otter, Dr Linda Batten and Enrique Castro Sanchez will present a poster on “Estimating the isolation burden if overseas residents are pre-emptively isolated for CRE admission screening.”
