Students taking part in library inductions

The first few weeks of term kicked off with library inductions for new students.

The inductions consist of a presentation on Library Services followed by a treasure hunt!

For the treasure hunts students are split into groups, giving them the chance to meet other new students and have some fun learning about the library service.

They are designed to familiarise students on how to find books on Library Search, find books on the shelves and study spaces within the library. Students are encouraged take a selfie and tag the library’s twitter’s account @imperiallibrary.

The teams race around the Central Library and the first team back with all the right answers win a box of chocolates! But every student who takes part receives a chocolate so no one leaves empty handed!

Staff wearing library t-shirts are strategically placed around the library to help out and make sure no one gets lost!

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and found it useful, and we look forward to seeing you in the library again soon!
