Cohort 7

On September 9th, Cohort 7 of the Plastic Electronics CDT completed their MRes with a day of presentations showcasing their research.

It was a great opportunity for the cohort to catch up and learn of each other’s progress during the year. Luis Lanzetta agreed that the session “helped to strengthen the bonds between the cohort academically” and played “an important role in the interdisciplinary character of the CDT”.

In a positive conclusion to a very productive year, we learnt about techniques for depositing thin metal films in hybrid transistors, progress in the synthesis of new transistor and OPV materials, superfast terahertz spectroscopy, new methods for the manufacture of photonic elements, and of course - perovskites.

The day culminated in Queen’s Arms, with drinks generously provided by Prof. Martin Heeney. Many thanks to the cohort for such engaging talks, and to all the academics for your excellent chairing!
