CMBI students and staff celebrate at Graduation 2017
Students celebrated the completion of their postgraduate degrees yesterday at the graduation ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall.
The ceremony was held for students graduating from the Faculties of Medicine and Natural Sciences.
PhDs were awarded to Angela Cheverton, Ed Couchman, Sujinna Lekmeechai, Corinna Mattheis, Erin McAlister, Bevin McGeever, Carrie Mullineaux-Sanders, Kim Painter, Julian Rycroft, Andrea Sirianni and Ernie So.
Students from our 2015-2016 MRes Bacterial Pathogenesis and Infection cohort, Anja Djokic, Sanika Hakim, Alex Hall, Nicola Harris, Youssef Hamway, Sophie Howard, Inês Serrano Pereira, Nicholas Synn adn Kay To were also awarded their degrees. Sabrina Slater also celebrated the completion of her MRes in Structural Biology, which included a research project in the CMBI.

Further success for the CMBI was acknowledged at the end of the ceremony when Centre Director Professor David Holden FRS was conferred with a Regius Professorship in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the study of infectious diseases.
