QuEST Imperial hosts networking and discussion between industry professionals, academics, and students in quantum research.

On the 1st November, Imperial hosted a wide variety of professionals from the quantum technology industry for an afternoon of discussion and networking with QuEST students.

For many students, this was a first glimpse at how quantum research is being conducted in industry. Speakers represented the full range of industry maturity, from established technology companies such as IBM and Samsung, to a quantum start-up fresh from California.

The unique quantum skills hub at Imperial means that students here have a diverse range of backgrounds and research interests, which was clear from the breadth of posters on display in the afternoon's poster session. Students were also given the opportunity to network with industry professionals, and gained insight into the quantum opportunities in their field as well as potential for collaboration.
