Mr Louis J. Heaton-Armstrong (1926, DIC 1927)

Jack Heaton-Armstrong was born in Ireland on 26 April 1905. He was at Imperial College from 1924 to 1927. He joined Standard Telephones and Cables Limited, and during the war developed radio navigational and landing aids for military aircraft. He continued to work for Standard Telephones and Cables until his retirement in 1970. In 1967 he was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers in America for contributions over many years to the design and manufacture of radio communication equipment for both civil and military use.Article text (excluding photos or graphics) © Imperial College London.
