Open call for IMSE briefing papers

The Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering (IMSE) is currently welcoming proposals for future briefing papers.

The overarching aim of the IMSE briefing paper series is to communicate key research topics to a broad audience. For example, papers can be targeted towards policy makers or those working in industry. Funding, for up to a few months’ of researcher's work towards a briefing paper, is available.

Launched in 2017, the series so far includes an introduction to the integrated molecular science and engineering concept as an effective way to tackle many global grand challenges, and a paper on future opportunities in the additive manufacturing industry.

Upcoming papers will include issues related to carbon capture and utilisation, and to the molecular engineering of antimicrobial surfaces.

Research for a broad audience

As the molecular science and engineering approach continues to gather pace around the world, IMSE’s briefing papers can help shape the discourse for a range of topics and can help advertise the accessibility of Imperial’s world-class expertise, facilities and insight.

We are also happy to help support the writing, editing, production and dissemination of these professional papers, and of bespoke events to promote the papers to a relevant audience.
