CMS/Upgrades - Page Corruption Problem Fixed
A patch from Oracle has solved the intermittent page corruption problem
Page Corruption Problem resolved
Since the Web Team applied a fix from Oracle at the beginning of January 2006, there have been no incidents of the page corruption problem. So it appears to be successfully resolved. Any content owners who have been holding back from updating sites can now resume editing pages.
The Web Team will continue to take a copy of each updated content item at the point you click OK in the Content Editor. These copies will be retained for at least a month. So if you do hit any problems with corrupt pages, we can restore them for you.
Please contact a member of the Web team IMMEDIATELY if you do have any problems with saving updated content. Please try Marion Brady or Theresa Nichols initially. If they are not available, then contact Stuart Croghan or Saul Batzofin. If you cannot reach any of the team, raise a call with the Service Desk.
When planning updates to significant pages on your site, please bear in mind that the Web Team do not normally provide support outside normal office hours.
