Today the 4th assessment, "Climate Change 2007" was completed with the publishing of the Synthesis Report. This Report forms the final part of the assessment which also includes reports published earlier this year from the three IPCC working groups: "The Physical Scientific Basis"; "Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability"; "Mitigation of Climate Change".
The Synthesis report serves to integrate and compact the wealth of information contained in the working group reports in to a readable and concise document explicitly targetted at policy makers. It will serve as a major contributor to the upcoming United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Bali due to its high policy relevence.
