Queens Tower during LGBT month

February is LGBT+ History Month in the UK and this year the theme is ‘Politics in Art’.

As part of Imperial’s activities the Careers Service is hosting a LGBT+ Careers Panel 2022 in partnership with IQ (the LGBT+ student society). Join us on Thursday 17 February from 18.30 - 20.00 as we share perspectives on the workplace to demonstrate that it’s possible to be comfortable and successful at work while being yourself, regardless of your sexual orientation or gender identity. This will be a fantastic opportunity for students who identify as LGBT+ (or allies of the community) to hear from LGBT+ professionals working for a range of inclusive employers including:

  • Air Products - Senior Cryogenic Equipment Engineer
  • Cummins - Customer Quality Assurance - Industrial Engineering Placement Student
  • London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) - Head of Business Management Group Legal and Compliance
  • Leonardo - Principal Systems Engineer
  • TTP - Consultant Materials Scientist (Energy & Materials)

Then on Wednesday 23 February from 13.00 - 14.00 we'll deliver our Finding Inclusive Employers event, where we'll help you search and explore inclusive organisations to find employment where you'll be comfortable and successful while being yourself. The session includes questions you could consider to clarify what a company culture might actually be like and we'll be joined by recent graduates who'll share their experience.
