2024 MEXT Postgraduate Scholarship

Applications for the 2024 MEXT Postgraduate Scholarship are now open!

Are you interested in joining a postgraduate programme in Japan? The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) are offering scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities. The scholarship is for final year and penultimate UK students who are interested in pursuing independent research or enrolling on a Master's/PhD course for a minimum of 18 months.

Tuition fees, six months of Japanese language education, a monthly allowance, return airfare and a student visa are all included!

Eligibility

All applicants must:

• Be a UK citizen and hold a UK passport
• Be under 35 years
• Be a graduate, or due to graduate before they depart for Japan

To be eligible for the programme you must be must a UK citizen under 35 years of age and hold a UK passport. All applications must be emailed to the scholarship office by Wednesday 31 May 2023, 17:00 (BST).
