Chemical Engineering Postdoc Symposium returns with in-person event

Postdoctoral researchers from the department presented their work at the annual symposium.

The annual Chemical Engineering Postdoc Symposium was delivered in-person for the first time since 2020, with the option for joining remotely. Researchers shared their work at the poster and oral presentations and heard from lecturers in a careers-focused panel discussion. The Wakeham Award was presented and prizes were given for best poster and oral presentations.

The symposium is organised by members of the Postdoc Committee, chaired this year by Dr Humera Ansari.

This year the awards were as follows:

Chemical Engineering prizes

Best oral presentation: Dr Gunjan Tyagi

Best poster presentation: Dr Matyas Daboczi

Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering (IMSE) prizes

Best oral presentation: Dr Alain Li

Best poster presentation: Dr Vivek Verma

Sir William Wakeham Award 2022

Winner: Dr Heather Au

Highly commended: Dr Pavani Cherukupally

Highly commended: Dr Gan Huang
