REAL WORLD: Real World Awards 2008

Real World Awards 2008

This year we are launching Real World Awards 2008, an updated version of the successful Graduate of the Year competition which has been running for the last four years.

The competition will now recognise and award the achievements of students across four categories:

  • Student Entrepreneur
  • Most Socially Responsible Student
  • Most Improved Club or Society
  • Biggest Contribution to University

INITIATIVE. Have you got it?

We have £16,000, national press coverage and unbeatable CV prestige to give students who have made the most of their time at university.

At Real World Magazine we believe there’s so much more to university life than academic work – and we want to reward the students who share that belief. There’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ winner. We’re looking for star students from all walks of life who have taken the initiative and made the most of their time at university.

This year the Real World Awards have gone interactive with an all-new video voting system. Submit a video in the style of your choice - maybe as a talking head or perhaps showing footage of a project you’re passionate about.

You can enter, vote and find out more at www.realworldawards.com.

The earlier you enter the more votes you can attract, so get your skates on!

Student Entrepreneur (Enterprise) - £5,000 prize
Most Socially Responsible Student (PWC) - £5,000 prize
Most Improved Club or Society - £5,000 prize
Biggest Contribution to University - £1,000 prize

Who should win? You decide.

If you don’t wish to enter yourself in this year’s competition, you can still get involved by helping to decide the winners – and be in with a chance of bagging a cash prize for yourself. Check out our Real World Awards Facebook application and rate your mates.
