Amrita Date successfully defended her PhD thesis on 10th April becoming the 4th student from the group to do so.
Congratulations to Amrita Date who passed her PhD viva on Thursday 10th April. Her thesis entitled Affinity-based protein profiling of MDM2 inhibitors described her work to profile the full target set of leading inhibitors of the cancer target MDM2 inside cells. Her project involved organic synthesis, binding assays, cell biology and a lot of mass spectrometry based proteomics and was a real multidisciplinary effort.
Her viva was carried out by external examiner Professor Angela Russel from The University of Oxford and internal examiner Dr Marco Di Antonio and her PhD was cosupervised by Professor Ed Tate at Imperial.
