CMS/Performance - ICT have implemented 2 changes to improve page render times

Improved Performance

You have probably noticed that sites in CMS are working much faster than in the past few weeks. ICT have implemented two changes:

  1. Installing a faster web cache server.
  2. Refining the page caching.

These improvements have dramatically improved the average render time for a web page from 6-8 secs to between 1 and 2 secs.

(The Page Caching settings under Page Properties now have Cache Page Definition and Content set to 1440 minutes.)
