You will train using specialist notetaking software guided by our team of professional note takers.

The field of electronic note taking is expanding as institutions and organisations continue to meet their responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act.

Electronic note takers are increasingly employed in education, the commercial environment, and public service arenas. This portfolio based course will provide you with the skills and attitudes needed to work in a challenging and professional profession.

Perhaps best known for the work they do with the deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people, electronic note takers are increasingly in demand providing notes for people with a broader range of disabilities and specific note taking needs. During the course you will use dedicated note taking software to provide a real-time typed summary on a computer screen and will gain skills and confidence note taking at speed from a range of sources. This course also covers disability awareness, addressing the personal and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with disabled people.
