Matthew Coop and his former students - Teresa Bodas Freitas, Kenny Sorensen (now at UCL) and George Georgoutsos - have won the 2005 George Stephenson Medal

Dr. Matthew Coop and his former students - Teresa Bodas Freitas, Kenny Sorensen (now at UCL) and George Georgoutsos - have won the 2005 George Stephenson Medal from the Institution of Civil Engineers for their paper in Geotechnique entitled "Particle breakage during shearing of a carbonate sand"
