Professor Paul French (Photonics Group) has been awarded a Wolfson Merit Award by The Royal Society in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of robust, compact, and widely tunable ultrafast laser sources and of imaging systems for biomedical applications that apply state of the art photonic concepts.
