The Careers Group: Introducing Careers in Charities - Thursday 29 November 2007
Employment in Charities is a growing sector for graduate employment. Charities typically offer graduates challenge, responsibility, a rapidly changing environment and an opportunity to make a real difference.
Not everyone is looking for these things in their first job, but those who are interested should attend the Careers in Charities course on 29 November.
- Speakers, many of whom are recent graduates, will describe how they got into their roles and what they do
- Speakers will answer questions and will speculate on how the sector might evolve over the next 5 years
Priorities are all important in this sector and part of the day will enable attendees to work in a small team considering the decisions that have to be made when designing a campaign - in this case addressing the issue of conservation of clean water.
Finally, participants should go away from the course with some great practical advice on the steps to take to prepare an application to this sector.
