Dr Jean F. Magni (MSc 1979)

After his baccalaureate in 1972, then the classes maths sup and maths spe in Bordeaux, Jean Francois continued his schooling in Lille where he obtained (in July 1977) the diploma for the occupation of engineer of the Industrial Institute of Moreth. In 1977 he followed a formation to the Imperial College of Science and Technology, in control systems in the Faculty of Engineering and obtained the Master of Science in January 1980. In 1979, he was engaged by Onera Cert of Toulouse in the field of automatic. He received the title of senior research worker in 1999, then that of director of research until 2001.

Jean Francois invested himself always much in research by publications, activities of teaching, the participation in European groups and programs international. In addition to his work, Jean Francois had multiple centres of interest and always expressed a will to seek and discover.

If some words could define him, it would be the broadmindedness, passion and discretion.
