Are you planning to do part of your research abroad or are you considering going abroad for your post-doc?
The International Office and the Graduate Schools invite you to a Research Abroad Meeting where you can meet with academic staff, post-docs and students who have already done research abroad. Professor John Mumford will chair the meeting. His university education and research has taken him from the US to New Zealand and the UK.
This event will give you the opportunity to discuss issues such as finding a lab space or a post-doc position abroad, when to go, how to get the money for going, how to get the most out of the experience how to deal with possible conflicting interests between supervisors and how to deal with the general ups and downs of a stay abroad.
Please let us know whether you want to attend by mailing Nicole Stirnberg (n.stirnberg@imperial.ac.uk).
