‘Oscars of the internet’ shortlisting

Webby Awards

Imperial’s Centenary website has been shortlisted for a Webby Award. Cast your vote for the People’s Voice Award.

Imperial's Centenary website (www.imperial.ac.uk/centenary) has been shortlisted from 10,000 entries from 60 countries for a Webby Award, regarded as the Oscars of the internet, in the School/University category. The nomination also makes the site eligible to win a People's Voice Award which is judged by members of the public. To cast your vote, follow the instructions below:

If you are NOT already registered to vote in the Webby Awards:

  1. Visit http://pv.webbyawards.com.
  2. Click on ‘Register now to vote’, located in an orange box on the right hand side of the web page.
  3. Complete the six data fields as requested and click on the ‘Sign up’ button.
  4. You will now be taken to a web page which requires an activation code. Have patience, you are almost there! Wait to receive your activation email into the email account whose address you registered in step three above. This should reach you within a minute or two of registering.
  5. In the email that you receive, click on the first URL, which activates your account and will take you straight through to the voting page.
  6. Click on the ‘Website - vote now’ button on the left hand side of the web page.
  7. Locate the ‘School/University’ category, which can be found in the section called ‘Society’ at the bottom of the page.
  8. Select Imperial College London from the School/University list by clicking on the circular vote button, and then ‘Cast your vote’.

If you are already registered to vote in the Webby Awards:

  1. Visit http://pv.webbyawards.com.
  2. Log into your Webby Awards account.
  3. Click on the ‘Website - vote now’ button on the left hand side of the web page.
  4. Locate the ‘School/University’ category, which can be found in the section called ‘Society’ at the bottom of the page.
  5. Select Imperial College London from the School/University list by clicking on the circular vote button, and then ‘Cast your vote’.
