CMS/Upgrades - CMS sites not available 29-30 March while upgrade work in progress

CMS Upgrade - System unavailable 29-30 March 2005

The CMS is being upgraded to enable SSO (Single Sign-On) to be implemented. This will pass a user's login from the CMS to other web-based applications, so that the user does not have to login to each application.

A backup of the entire system was taken over the weekend 19/20 March, in case a restore is necessary.

The upgrade work will start on Tuesday 29 March and is scheduled to finish by the evening of Wednesday 30 March. ICT regrets that during this time, sites held on CMS will not be available for browsing or updating.
