Academic Venue Show 2008
The Academic Venue Show at the Business Design Centre was a resounding success where the Imperial College's Conference team met with over 65 potential costumers interested in using Imperial College London Facilities.
Over 350 visitors visited the Academic Venue Show held on the 13th May 2008 at the Business Design Centre. Imperial College’s Conference team was dressed as doctors to attract visitors to their stand and were giving out prescription forms to potential customers. The show started at 10.00am, over 50 venues from 30 different towns and cities were present. Visitors had the opportunity to participate at a seminar held by European Business Speaker of the Year, Richard Reeves, on “Happy Mondays”.
The Academic Venue Show was organised by VENUEMASTERS. Venuemasters is a consortium promoting the facilities available for hire to event planners and other customers at over 80 UK academic venues. They offer an easy venue finding service for meeting rooms, group accommodation and short breaks.
The conference team was represented by Stuart Orr, Business Developement Manager, Elodie Levasseur, Marketing Executive, and several enthusiastic members of the sales department. The team was well prepared and their positive energy at the show proved to be very successful, both in terms of visitors and the overwhelming positive reaction from public.
The conference team was promoting the fact that Imperial College London has more than 200 meeting spaces in South Kensington, with two special luxurious venues, 170 Queen’s Gate and 58 Prince’s Gate.
