Improve your employability with the Global Management Challenge (GMC).
Student registration is now open for the Global Management Challenge.
Manage a virtual company and achieve REAL success in the 2009 Global Management Challenge (GMC).
Form a team and compete against other students from all over the country. There are cash prizes on offer as well as the chance to represent the UK at the International Final in Portugal.
It's free to enter and registration is now open at www.gmc.hobsons.co.uk.
Why take part?
As well as being a fun, challenging experience, the GMC helps you develop the skills you'll need for your CV:
- teamworking
- analytical thinking and decision-making
- organisation and time management
- problem-solving
You will also get the chance to meet with top graduate recruiters.
The rules are simple:
- Your team (3 to 5 students) manages a virtual company, making decisions about production, marketing and capital – just like real directors
- Increase your company's share price, and progress through the group stage and the semi-finals to the National Final
- The UK champion wins a cash prize of £1,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to the International Final in Lisbon, Portugal in April 2009
Over 375,000 university students have played the world's largest strategic management competition since its launch in 1980. This year, 19,000 students from 28 countries will take part in the GMC. Share their experience and register now.
The competition starts at the end of October.
