The Rector Elect, Sir Roy Anderson, recently met up with alumni members of the Imperial College Association of Singapore over dinner at the Tanglin Club in Singapore, on 15 June 2008.
Sir Roy and several Imperial alumni enjoyed small talk over wine and Tiger beer before dinner. Sir Roy spent time chatting with each local alumnus. Topics were wide-ranging, from the Atacama Desert Crossing (Alumnus, Toh Poh Joo), grid services provisioning (Dr Lee Hing Yan, President of the Alumni Association in Singapore), coexistence of polytechnics and universities (Tan Hang Cheong, Principal of Singapore Polytechnic), China's economic growth (KK and Doreen Phua), and regional consulting business (George Ong).
