Information about Proposed changes to the exam dates, Term Dates, Lecturer Evaluation Questioner, Actuarial Practice Presentation Reminder, Exam Timetable and Central Library closure
1. Proposed changes to the exam dates
The following changes are proposed to balance out the exam load of the MSc Actuarial Finance students:
-Move the Actuarial Practice exam from January 2009 to Wednesday 15th October 2008 (note that your autumn term classes will start on Thursday 16th October and/or Friday 17th October depending on the electives you have chosen)
-Split the exams of the main electives (Advanced Finance, Pensions, etc.) so that the exams for the autumn term sub-electives (Advanced Investments, Pensions Economics, etc.) will be scheduled in January 2009 while the exams for the spring term sub-electives will be scheduled in April 2009.
In order for the above changes to be implemented, we must have the agreement of every first year MSc Actuarial Finance from the 2007/8 cohort. If you have any objection to the proposed changes, please let the Programme team know by 5pm on Thursday 3rd July 2008.
2. Confirmation of second year electives
A while ago, you were asked to indicate which electives you were thinking of taking in your second year. It is now time to confirm your choice so that we can finalise the timetable.
