Provided by Mrs Marie Frohnsdorff

My husband maintained his contacts with Dr. John Waller and several of his fellow students in the Blank Club for over sixty years.  He commenced his studies at Imperial College in 1942 on the BSc. ARCS Course reading Chemistry and graduated in 1944. He subsequently spent two years in the Textile Dept. at Leeds University and obtained a M.Sc. in 1947.  He was awarded the Worshipful Company of Woolmen’s Medal for his thesis.

His career from 1951 until retirement in 1981 was with the Gillette Co. initially using his expertise in wool and dyeing.  In subsequent years he was employed in the Surgical Dept. of the Gillette Company concerned with the Irradiation of Medical products.
