Professor Nigel Graham visited Hong Kong for two weeks in July-August

Professor Nigel GrahamProfessor Nigel Graham visited Hong Kong for two weeks in July-August where he visited the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the University of Hong Kong.  At PolyU Professor Graham has been an Honorary Professor since 2000 and his collaboration involves a number of research projects relating to water treatment technologies and he coordinates an undergraduate student exchange programme between PolyU and Imperial College in Civil Engineering. At the University of Hong Kong Professor Graham gave a research seminar to staff and students chaired by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Joseph Lee. 


Amin BesharaCongratulations to Abdel Beshara and his wife on the birth of their new baby boy Amin Beshara.  Amin arrived on 9th August and his weight was 8lbs. 

 

 

 

 

 


Dr Michael TempletonDr Michael Templeton presented a poster at the IWA 2008 Young Water Professionals Conference at the University of California-Berkeley in mid-July. The poster title was "UV dose-response of opportunistic bacteria that can persist in water distribution systems" and was co-authored by Xiyu Phoon, Marina Antonakaki, and Mike Rogers.
