Registering with JobsLive (career management system) will allow you to book events, search for job vacancies and book appointments with a Careers Adviser
Register with JobsLive today for the following benefits!
The Careers Advisory Service receives details of many job opportunities every week including current positions and training programmes, internships, work experience placements and part time work.
You can search for vacancies as well as employers on the JobsLive system - by job type, industry sector, geographical areas, degree subject required etc. The employer database also provides details of any current or past vacancies we might have received from that organisation.
To start using JobsLive you need to REGISTER
- Employer events, bookable via JobsLive
Events run by employers such as occupational talks, employer presentations and employer-led skills workshops take place throughout the graduate recruiotment cycle. You can book a place online to attend via JobsLive. - Careers Seminars, bookable via JobsLive
In addition to talks given by Careers Advisers that are held iun your department (your departmental Careers Adviser will notify you about these) Careers Advisers also run a rolling programme of central seminars on CVs, Interviews, Online Applications and Assessment Centres, again bookable via JobsLive.
As a first step to producing an effective CV, we suggest that you attend a CV seminar and then make necessary changes to your CV. - Appointments with a Careers Adviser bookable via JobsLive
As a registered user you can book a 20 minute discussion with a Careers Adviser on the day that you want to see someone. Simply login and go to your 'calendar'
Registering with JobsLive allows you to:
- Search for job vacancies by industry sector, location, job role and more...
- Browse the online employer directory (currently with over 1000 registered employers)
- Receive email alerts to jobs that match your stated requirements
- View all Careers Service events and book for them online
- Receive email reminders for all booked events
- Book daily 'Quick Query' 20 minute appointments on the day you wish to see someone:
morning appointments are available to book from 07:00
afternoon appointments are available to book from 10:00 - Set up a personalised 'Careers Calendar'
