Imperial College Business School was pleased to sponsor the flagship event in the Leadership Careers Tour in London hosted by QS Forum. The event took place on 25 and 26 September and was the third consecutive year that the event was hosted by the Business School.

Sonia Dixon-Fairweather, the School’s Head of Marketing and Communications, began the event with an opening speech on “Woman in Leadership” and “Diversity in Leadership”. Monica Piercy, Careers Services and Professional Development Manager at the Business School, gave a presentation on “Your Career Strategies in 30 mins” which provided participants with a valuable insight into how best to manage their career development strategies.

The event is part of a European-wide career fair that helps the most talented students, graduates and professionals. Candidates had the opportunity to meet HR recruiters and line managers from major companies and organisations looking to employ the most driven individuals. Added to this was the extensive career development available through keynote speeches from business leaders, presentations from department leaders, seminars from corporate role models, life coaching workshops from trained professionals and consultations from CV specialists.

Attendees learned from the participating organisations about their focus on diversity and inclusion, and gained an understanding of the opportunities that are available to all employees, regardless of race, and how ethical practice is a central tool for success.
