CMS/New feature - RSS Newsreader page available

All CMS users can configure a news page on Webguide site to display their selected newsfeeds

Customisable Newsfeed page available

The page http://www.imperial.ac.uk/webguide/technologyservices/rssreader contains a personalised newsreader.

After logging into the page, you can pull in the newsfeeds you wish to read by:

  1. Copy the URL of the newsfeed you are interested in e.g on the College homepage there is a button called RSS which takes you to the page http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/imperialnews/RSS_14150300.xml This is the URL to use to get College news.
  2. Click the Add feed link
  3. Add the name and URL of the newsfeed and click OK e.g.

  4. Repeat for additional newsfeeds.

Then each time you visit the page you will see the updated news for each of your selected feeds.

Note that you will not be notified of new items. Set the page as a Favourite and visit it at frequent intervals to  see the latest news.
