The PhD Forum will provide a great opportunity to get an overview of a variety of roles in a diverse spread of
sectors outside of academia and research.
This event is specifically aimed at PhD students from all disciplines and all year groups at Imperial College. There are 5 leading companies taking part and you will be able to hear first hand from a panel of senior managers and professionals from a variety of industry sectors about their own personal career development. The evening will start with presentations from the panel of speakers and finish with refreshments and an opportunity for you to talk to the employers and use the time for some informal
networking.
Career areas being represented range from working as a quantitative analyst in investment banking to a patent attorney and engineering roles in Schlumberger as well as management consultancy.
Participating companies are Merrill Lynch. Marks & Clerk, Accenture. AkzoNobel (ICI) & Schlumberger
