Winter Wonderland
“O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!” rang out from the South Kensington Campus as alumni and their guests were led in song by the Imperial College Chamber Choir.
“O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!” rung out from the South Kensington Campus on 11 December 2008 as alumni and their guests were led in song by the Imperial College Chamber Choir.
The Main Dining Hall was transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, for the event.
The choir, which is directed by Jessica Gillingwater (Biochemistry 2007), sung a range of carols including Once in Royal David’s City, Hark the Herald Angels sing, and O Come All Ye Faithful. Over 150 alumni and their guests join in the sing-along, while enjoying mulled wine, mince pies and other festive treats.
The Imperial College Chamber Choir is a small auditioned group of singers, who sing a broad range of repertoire from Renaissance to the Swingle Singers and performs three concerts annually as well as participating in many smaller events such as the Imperial College Carol Service.
