Faculty of Natural Sciences celebrates Darwin bicentenary

Imperial College and the Faculty of Natural Sciences are holding a series of events to celebrate the life and work of Charles Darwin

As part of celebrations of Darwin's bicentenary, the Faculty of Natural Sciences is holding a series of Darwin Day events including:

-Book Launch: 'Darwin’s Sacred Cause’ 9th February. The event will include Adrian Desmond and James Moore discussing their new book ‘Darwin's Sacred Cause: race, slavery and the quest for human origins.

Faculty of Natural Sciences Darwin Day, 12th February

The afternoon event will include presentations from Randal Keynes OBE, author and great-great-grandson of Charles Darwin, the distinguished evolutionary biology author Dr Matt Ridley and Imperial College's Professor Armand Leroi (Division of Biology).

-Darwin Seminar Series: Departments within the College will be holding a series of seminars related to evolution. Details of seminars within the Faculty of Natural Sciences will be posted on the Faculty Research Information System
