Did you know that over seven million farmers, farm workers and their families in Africa, Asia and Latin America benefit from Fairtrade by receiving better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade?
As a Fairtrade university Imperial is keen to raise awareness of what Fairtrade can achieve and how staff and students can get involved.
Marking the Fairtrade Foundation’s Fairtrade Fortnight, taking place between Monday 23 February and Friday 6 March, students are leading a programme of events to showcase the variety of products available to buy on campus and to advise on how putting more in your shopping basket can give producers a better deal in the developing world.
Watch the video to find out what’s happening and how you can get involved.
