CERN ACCELERATOR SCHOOL (CAS): Magnets - Tuesday 16 to Thursday 25 June 2009
A course of magnets...
The course will mainly be of interest to staff in accelerator laboratories, university departments and companies manufacturing magnets.
Although SC magnets will be briefly addressed, the course will focus on the different types of resistive magnets covering both the theoretical fundamentals as well as the practical considerations in terms of materials, specifications, manufacturing and measurements. A realistic case study and seminars will complete the programme.
