COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIPS: Postgraduate Scholarships in New Zealand
Scholarships for Postgraduate study in New Zealand in 2010 are now being offered.
As part of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP), the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission is invited to nominate ten candidates for Commonwealth Scholarships for postgraduate study (Masters and PhD) in New Zealand starting in February 2010. The following Universities in New Zealand are offering to fund awards at varying values:
- University of Auckland
- Auckland University of Technology (have agreed to participate, but details to be confirmed)
- University of Waikato
- Massey University
- University of Victoria
- University of Canterbury
- Lincoln University
- University of Otago
Please note that these may be subject to update.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be citizens of the United Kingdom
- Applicants for PhD study must have a minimum of standard of upper second class honours in their undergraduate degree
- Applicants for other courses must have a minimum standard of a Bachelor's degree with at least an average of 'B' or they should be expected to achieve these results in the coming examinations
Each applicant must submit one original application and five copies (so six in total) accompanied by the following:
- six copies of referees reports
- six copies of the academic record (it is very important that this lists the subjects passed and the grades of pass in each subject. Academic records excluding such information cannot be assessed by the Universities)
- one copy of a certified birth certificate attached to the original application

Completed application forms should be sent in hardcopy, along with five photocopies, to:
