MCS PROJECTS LTD: Science & Technology Challenge Days Ambassadors - June/July 2009

Ambassadors wanted for Science & Technology Challenge Days within the Greater London Boroughs. Earn up to £50 per day!

MCS Projects Ltd arrange Science & Technology Challenge Days within Greater London. These gifted & talented events involve year 8/9's working on three practical, applied-science challenges within mixed-school teams of four. The events are held on the campuses of local universities/colleges and typically are attended by approximately 100 young people and their teachers.

The Challenge Days have become very popular with schools and have spread across the country. Each year we recruit a team of university students to be responsible for each challenge. Currently we are seeking students who are available for at least some events held within the London area during June/July 2009.

Your role would be to introduce each challenge, to supervise the young people and to assess how well they planned, worked together and to judge their final solution. Each challenge lasts 75 mins – you would undertake your challenge with three different groups of young people. We will train you about your challenge beforehand.

You will be paid £50/day plus any travel expenses. When the days require you to stay overnight, all your expenses will be paid. The days are hard work but enjoyable!

We are looking to recruit bright university students who can communicate well with 12-14 year olds. A science/technology background is an advantage but is not essential.

If you are interested, please contact Paul Waterworth, MCS Projects Ltd, on 07702 221938 as soon as possible, or email to paul.waterworth@talk21.com.
