UKIERI: Study India Programme
The Study India Programme (SIP) is a government-funded three-week study programme in India.
It’s a tremendous opportunity to learn about India, its language and its culture, and it’s open to undergraduates currently studying in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. You will have the opportunity to visit India, learn some Hindi and be immersed in Indian cultural and social activities.
Up to 200 students will be selected to go to either Mumbai or New Delhi and the summer programme will run from 24 August to 12 September 2009.
The closing date for applications is 30th June 2009.
Please see www.studyindia.org.uk for more details.
There is a similar programme offered for China also. Please visit www.studychina.org.uk for more information.
SIP is organised by King's College London's Centre for Indian Cultures and the University of Birmingham's International Office and is funded by UKIERI, the UK India Education and Research Initiative. Our partners in India are the universities of Mumbai and Delhi.
