Professor Michael Schneider, the Director of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Centre of Research Excellence has been awarded the BHF Simon Marks Professor of Regenerative Cardiology. Although the BHF supports the best UK researchers at all levels the most senior positions are the charity's coveted professor awards, or 'BHF Chairs', which are held by leading figures in vital heart research.
