Dr David Dewhirst (St Mary’s Hospital Medical School 1943)

After working in general practice for 20 years, in 1977 David Dewhirst went to Saudi Arabia for eight years to work as a Medical Officer for an American company. On his return, until his untimely death which was the result of a non-fault car accident, he lived in Winchelsea, East Sussex, and was still a very active, youthful 86-year-old.
