New awards in the department

Physics academics win awards from the Institute of Physics

The department is delighted to announce that four of its members have been honoured in this year's Institute of Physics Awards:

Prof Donal Bradley (EXSS) - Faraday Medal
Prof Peter Knight (QOLS) - Glazebrook Medal
Prof Jenny Nelson (EXSS) - Joule Medal
Prof Jim Virdee (HEP) - Chadwick Medal

We are the most successful Department which is an excellent recognition of our strengths.

In addition Ms Becky Parker, an Academic Visitor with PLAS, has won the Bragg Medal and Prize. Becky is from the Simon Langton Grammar School and has a close outreach collaboration with the Group.
