Howard WheaterProfessor Howard Wheater ran the Water Ideas Lab workshop on the 8th July.  35 delegates from the College and industrial partners attended.
He also ran a joint Ecology and Hydrology workshop at Silwood park on 25th June

Neil McIntyreCongratulations to Dr Neil McIntyre for receiving an award from the college for Pastoral Care. These awards are extremely competitive, only a small number of people are nominated. It says much for the abilities, professionalism and dedication of Neil that he has been singled out in this way. It also reflects well on the educational and pastoral climate within the Department.

The EWRE section welcomes Dr Brad Clarke from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Victoria, Australia who is working with Dr Stephen Smith as a Visiting Academic for three months on the risk assessment of organic contaminants in relation to the agricultural recycling of urban wastewater biosolids.

Stephen SmithCongratulation to Dr Stephen Smith on his recent promotion to Professor of Bio Resource Systems.

At IOA World Congress 2009 in Tokyo, former PhD student Dr Bo Ning took third place in the Willy Masschelein Prize  for the best PhD thesis that has been issued within the past 4 years (2006, 2007, 2008 and up to 31st March 2009).  Well done Bo!
