The Careers Advisory Service runs an extensive programme of events in the Autumn term to help you get a job or internship. By the time you come back to College in the autumn, many firms will already be accepting applciations so you'll need to be ready to start your job hunting.

Engineering Careers Fair 21 October - a sector specific event for all Engineering students and graduates. Meet leading recruiters and use this great opportunity to find out more about internships and permanent graduate vacancies. Make the most of the event by checking our ‘Making the most of Careers Fairs guide'- hints and tips on how to make a positive first impression on a prospective employer.

Do your research

Careers Forums - Why do you want this job? is a typical interview question. Attending one (or more) of our career forums could help you give a more impressive answer. Listen to panel of experienced professionals and get a chance to network over refreshments afterwards. The forums cover a host of specialist areas including Investment Banking and Energy. Look out as well for our lunchtime
Careers Talks on lots of different occupations.

Employer Led Skills Workshops - run weekly by top graduate recruiters, these sessions give you a great chance to enhance the skills necessary for success throughout the recruitment process Topics include talking case studies, succeeding at assessment centres and developing enterprise skills.

Applications and interviews

Careers Advisory Service seminars. Develop an effective CV, improve your interview skills and answer those difficult questions on application forms by attending our seminars which run every afternoon during the autumn term.
