NEW REC Ethics Application Form
COREC have released a new version of the on-line NHS REC application form.
A revised version of the on-line NHS Research Ethics Committee application form was released on 1st September 2005.
There are a number of new enhancements to the form, including:
- Many questions have been completely re-designed
- Question-specific guidance can accessed by using the icon next to the relevant question
- Multiple Part Cs can be added to an application
- The applicant’s checklist is integrated at print-out stage as page 1 so that all submission-related REC documents can be printed in one go
- For clinical trials of IMPs, Part B Section 1 has been deleted in its entirety and replaced with a requirement to provide a copy of the EudraCT form requesting a CTA from the MHRA
- More robust information about the research sponsor is requested
Please note, you should now apply to an NHS REC using only the online form (the downloadable version is no longer in use).
