Investments and Portfolio Management

Please read to find out important information regarding the first lecture and due date! next week

Professor Kosowski has requested that you complete the reading in the Bodie Kane textbook for your first lecture (and you thought you were going to have a rest over the weekend). This is chapters 5.1-5.8, 5.10, 6, 7, 8.1-8.3

(the preceding Chapters 1-4 are descriptive. They provide basic institutional background on financial markets (review it if you are not familiar with it))

Please note that a quiz will be posted today on Blackboard in the IPM course area, and will be due on Wednesday at 4pm. There will be a weekly quiz on Blackboard that you must complete (usually posted on Thursdays and due Wednesdays). More information will be provided to you in the lecture.

Also........

Please remember that your first lecture for Investments and Portfolio Management will take place at different times than normally scheduled.  Group 3&4 will have their lecture on Monday the 12th October from 17:30-20:30 in LTG (I know there is a typo in Group 4’s schedule that says it is in MENG542 – please ignore this.)

Group 1&2 will have their lecture on Tuesday 13th October from 18:00-21:00 in LTUG.

I know this means that group 3 and 4 will have a very long first day with a huge gap and group 1 and 2 a very very long second day. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you, however due to unforeseen circumstances, the schedule had to be changed just for this one week. Thank you for your understanding.
