Gold Medallist Rebecca Adlington Makes a Splash at Ethos

Gold Medallist Rebecca Adlington visits Ethos on Saturday 28 November

Double gold medallist Rebecca Adlington visited Ethos on Saturday 28 November and used the pool for an extremely strenuous training session. She had been in London for a charity dinner the previous evening and could not afford to miss any training in her build up to next year's Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.

She spent an hour and half in the water covering almost 7 kilometres before signing a few autographs and allowing a photo opportunity. Hopefully she will be re -visiting Ethos in the future when her hectic social life brings her down to London.

Rebecca Adlington, OBE, British freestyle swimmer, won two gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in the 400m and 800m, breaking the 19 year-old world record of Janet Evans in the 800m final. Adlington is Britain's first Olympic swimming champion since 1988, the first British swimmer to win two Olympic gold medals since 1908 and Great Britain's most successful Olympic swimmer in 100 years.

Visit Rebecca Adlington's website to learn more about her.
