A specialist Careers Fair for all science students and graduates of Imperial College. Open to all year groups, from first years to PhD's.

A chance to talk to a variety of companies who recruit from the Physical and Life science disciplines. Information on fulltime and internship opportunities, undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The Science Careers Fair, organised by the Careers Advisory Service, is sector specific to help draw the attention of the opportunities available to Imperial students within the science industry.

Careers fairs are very useful events enabling you to meet and talk to a number of companies at the same time. You can see many companies individually on campus at presentations and skills workshops throughout term but the only time you get them all together is at a careers fair. Designed so that you can contrast and compare, discuss and collect information all on the same day they can help you develop ideas if your career plans are vague or get detailed information on what is on offer if you already know the job you are aiming for.

Take your CV with you and give them to your chosen recruiters. On the day remember that first impressions count. Think of some questions that you can ask the company representatives.

Remember fairs are not a university version of a supermarket sweep. They are not organised for you to see how many freebies you can grab in the shortest space of time. Even if you have not yet started to actively job hunt you will be surprised how recruiters remember names and faces. Making a good impression now could make your job hunting easier in the future.
